Nova Southeastern University’s Division of Humanities in the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences currently has an opening for part-time philosophy faculty at our Education Center in Jacksonville. See here for directions and the address: http://www.nova.edu/sec/jacksonville/directions.html.
The part-time philosophy instructor is needed to teach a summer, 7-week course: PHIL 2000 Moral Issues on Tuesdays from 6 PM to 10 PM. The course begins May 17th and introduces students to moral reasoning through a philosophical examination of important ethical concepts, such as ethical theory, relativism, egoism, and virtue. We require that candidates have at least a master’s degree in philosophy or a master’s degree in another area with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in philosophy. Please note that this class is not likely to have high enrollment but will run as long as students are in the course.
