Here’s a recollection of graduate student life under Thomas Kuhn.
I’m sure everyone here has heard of the story of Wittgenstein and the poker, but this behavior by Kuhn really takes the cake.

I confess: I have never used “The Ashtray Argument.” I suppose one needs to have a particularly high standing in academia to do so. Maybe one day …
The “Ashtray Argument” is probably THE best philosophical argument I’ve ever seen, if you know what I mean . . . . . . . . .
