The First Annual Southwest Florida Student Philosophy Conference at FGCU.
The philosophy club at Florida Gulf Coast University will be hosting its first annual student philosophy conference in the spring semester of 2011. It will be a two day conference (April 8-9), welcoming papers from undergraduate and graduate students throughout the state and the region . The conference will be divided into topic-based panels, and there will be a keynote speaker TBA.
Papers covering any relevant area of philosophy will be considered (including topics in meta-physics and epistemology, ethics, ancient philosophy, social and political philosophy, contemporary continental philosophy, aesthetics, and philosophy of religion). This is a great opportunity for students across the state to get to know each other and to familiarize themselves with other departments. All are encouraged to submit.

Submission Deadline: 2/20/11—please send an electronic copy of the abstract (200-250 words) to email@example.com by 2/20/11.
Guidelines: Papers should be around 3,000 words or have a 15-20 minute reading time.
