The Moral and Social Significance of Gathering and Managing Information and Borders in the Global Community
That is the subject of an upcoming conference hosted by The University of Texas-Pan American in Edinburg, Texas.
The conference will be from November 20-22, 2008 and the deadline for submissions is October first. Abstracts should be no more than 500 words. Those whose work is accepted will be notified by October 15. Electronic submissions should be sent to email@example.com . There is also a possibility of publication in a conference related volume for accepted papers!
Some suggested topics are: Ethical issues in global intelligence, Ethical issues in competitive intelligence, Ethical issues in immigration, Ethical issues in collection storage and retrieval of intelligence, and Ethical issues in privacy and global national security. As well as codes of ethics in public and Private intelligence, open and closed boarders, and ethical implications of a border wall.
