UNF’s Department of Philosophy, in conjunction with the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida Center for Ethics, Public Policy, and the Professions, announces the 11th Annual Northeast Florida Student Philosophy Conference Friday, March 9th, through Saturday, March 10th. The keynote speaker is Professor Gary Watson of the University of California Riverside. Watson will present “Standing in Judgment” at 7:30 P.M. Friday, March 9th. A reception follows the talk, which is free and open to everyone. The plenary speaker is professor James Doyle of the University of Bristol. Doyle will present “Plato contra Socrates” at 12:30 P.M. Saturday, March 10th. Both talks will be presented in the Brooks College of Health, Building 39, Room 1009. Twelve papers by undergraduate and graduate students from schools across the nation will be presented from 9:00 A.M. to Noon and from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. in Rooms 1009 and 1016.
