About

The Florida Student Philosophy Blog is dedicated to quality discussions of issues philosophical, religious, moral, political, and scientific. Its contributors are undergrads, grads, and alumni from philosophy departments throughout the state of Florida, as well as invited guests affiliated with these departments.

One of the best features of the FSPB (and one for which we have earned respect in the blogosphere) is our commitment to discuss a wide variety of important issues both intelligently and civilly. We attempt to honor this commitment in two ways. First, we encourage contributors and commentators to develop arguments and to use rhetoric that they would find most appropriate in professional academic settings (e.g., conferences, classrooms, etc.). Second, we reserve the right to edit and, if necessary, to delete contributions and comments that violate that commitment.

(See also this note on the spirit of the FSPB.)

Thank you for your interest and participation!
