For all of you in the Jacksonville area, the UNF Philosophy Club is proud to present it’s first philosophy slam of the year! It will be held on Thursday, November 20th at the Grape in the St. John’s Town Center (directions may be found here) and is scheduled to begin at 7p.m. sharp. The topic of discussion is, “If you’re an egalitarian, how come you’re so rich?” (borrowed from the title of the G.A. Cohen book) and will be presented by Aaron Kenna, who should be a familiar to many of you from his recent post “The Individual Contra Society”. The Grape is very excited to be hosting this event and is providing us with a private section of their restaurant and exclusive drink specials for those attending the slam. In return we’ve promised the Grape a good turn out, so I hope many of you will come out and share in some interesting heated discussion with us!
So you’re an egalitarian eh?
